This is the new Craigslist, but needs some work
I’ve been using the app for several weeks now pretty heavily and have about 15 items for sale. Love that it’s free for most items and runs natively on mobile devices. Easy to post ads. They stay up for a month at a time and then can be easily renewed or deleted or edited. Spell check helps you with the editing, which is nice. Your phone camera is leveraged for easy photo posting. Also let’s you focus searches and show your postings in your geographic area for greater convenience. Now, the nags: The app doesn’t update itself very well and I find that with notifications turned on, I see a new Letgo message on my screen but then don’t see it for a while in the app when I open it to look. Have to manually refresh the app’s chat function often by hitting the “all” button in the drop down menu to make new messages appear in areas other than just in the notification tally areas at the bottom of the screen. During searches, relevance is clearly an issue as you might see a few items that conform to your search criteria, but an endless stream thereafter of items that are completely unrelated. It’s like the app never wants to just show you 2-3 listings that are exactly what you’re looking for. Instead, it seems to prefer inundating you with hundreds of additional items, perhaps to boost their view stats, or it just has a “more the merrier” approach? Anyway, not helpful. Also, just in the short time I’ve been posting the app has taken down my ads for lazer tag guns and a small aquarium due to its strict policy about not selling firearms or animals. Hello!! Lazer tag doesn’t involve firearms and an aquarium isn’t an animal. Clearly they have a bot that reads your ads for certain keywords and removes the ads if they contain those words, but c’mon, at least have a human review them before they are taken down. Annoying! All in all, you should be using this app, which has room for improvement, but is a great buying and selling tool.

I personally like offerup better. Let go will take down listings I have up without notifying me at all. I don’t find the app easy to navigate at all. Letgo is constantly giving me problems about items I try to post which is really irritating where as on offerup it doesn’t give me any problems whenever I try to post something. Idk I just don’t really like using letgo. I prefer offerup.

I have a hard time selling to customer people are reluctant to want to buy even though I have decent stuff like headphones that I never wore. I tried to sell A Xbox and they did give me a difficult time on the price.
Make Money Selling on letgo! Buy & Sell used items safely with ID identification, and easily with photo recognition. Post in Less than 10 seconds!
