My #1 suggested apps for caregivers of babies!
This app is SO WONDERFUL! As a mom of littles it can feel like a full time job guessing their needs before they can talk. This app brings a whole new level of understanding. Not only do I NOT think my kids are teething/and or sleep regressing all the time anymore but I now have this beautiful window into what they are experiencing. I wonder less “what are they thinking?” and instead see very specific changes like “she sees the contrast in these blinds, or “she’s categorizing this pattern in my face!” The book it is based on is so wonderful I highly recommend it. BUT this app stands alone. You need not read the book to benefit. The transition periods called “leaps” are specifically applied to your child down to the day. Plus there is a space to record in detail how your child handles each “leap.” I’ve found that even observation skills as a parent are benefited! I have never gifted an app other than this one. It seems a strange thing to give an app but it’s such a help to parents, especially new ones, that I can’t recommend it enough! Not just for mother’s! Fathers, grandparents, caregivers, ANYONE actively involved in a babies life can benefit.

Parts of the app don’t match up
Why did I pay for an app that when I open it up, the top part says my son has 1 day left in a leap, while the main part says he doesn’t make the leap just yet and to look for it in about 15 days???????????? I don’t see a place to contact them and if it can’t be fixed, I want my money back. Waste of time and money if it’s not going to sync up. And yes, I’ve tried restarting the phone and app, I’ve updated the latest version. Still nothing. Not impressed. Don’t waste your money on this app!!! Learn about the leaps somewhere else!

Needs some tweaks
This app is great, and it’s been super insightful for us as first time parents. But the wordage is frustrating to me. To go from explaining the leaps with “he/she” or by my son’s name (which is perfect) to having these check lists that say “you are cranky” or “you are usually sweet” etc. It’s a minor complaint but I really wish they would keep it uniform throughout the app. Have it all say “he” or “she” not “you”.
