It’s great when it’s great... but...

I like the app because it teaches me how to do things like math. But sometimes it fails to teach me, and the videos can only tell you so much. I am a teen and I’m 13 years old. Now, I don’t want to be THAT PERSON but this app usually adds unnecessary stress to my life and there is only so much I can handle until I explode. From now I tell you the bad parts of the app: 1: Sometimes in the videos it gives me three options to take. The first is the really easy way to solve the problem. The second is the medium hard way. And the third is the most exact answer of all. Now one time I did the hardest way for a fair challenge and it took me longer than 15 minutes to finish it. When I was finished, I was pretty proud of myself and I was sure it would be correct. But when I typed it in it said “NOT QUITE”. Then I got so angry I almost cried! After that I put in the easiest way and got it correct. I thought “ok well I probably just messed up something” so I went about with my day. The next day I asked my parents about the answer and we went through it. BUT THEY GOT THE SAME ANSWER AS ME. I even asked my teacher and he said that is the right answer! So in conclusion, the actual answer was the easiest one and when I worked hard it rejected it... hmmmmmmmmmmm.... 2:The app itself is very glitchy and one time it wouldn’t let me complete the unit test (the final test on a certain subject!) because it said “error computing” I tried again but it said the same thing. Then multiple signs that said that piled across my screen and my phone crashed. You may think that it’s because of my phone but I have a iPhone 7 Plus and that is NOT old! Also It was completely updated... I read some of the other comments and they all say the same thing! “It’s a glitchy app” so think twice before you get this... 3:okay okay, so this isn’t a real problem, but it’s really boring and not fun to learn... Now the good things! 1:it’s a great learning site if you can understand the videos!! 2:at least they try to help anyone with glitches!! 3:it’s supposed to be fun but... Ok that’s it Thanks for reading this! I hope you try it out but don’t rage if you fail because, it’s not you that is the problem...mostly!

    Great Content, Buggy App

When it works, Khan Academy is a terrific resource to learn fundamentals of many general subjects. However, the app is CONSTANTLY crashing, freezing, & failing to respond. I’ve had the app for about 2 years, & this remains constant. I keep hoping that the next update will bring these much needed fixes, but they don’t. A few problems I’ve experienced: 1) Failure for downloadable bookmarks to respond when I press the button to download them. Often when they do respond, they indicate the download has begun but then doesn’t progress at all, so the download never completes. This has happened to me on several different Wifi networks of decent speed. 2) App crashes. Sometimes when I try to download a lesson, the whole app will just shut down & exit. 3) Blank pages loading the app. With the most recent version of the app, I’ve noticed that the starting pages are sometimes just perpetual blank screens. I had to delete & redownload the app to fix this... but it didn’t fix any of the other errors. I loved the awesome intent & content of KA, but the app makes it practically inaccessible.
