After 4 years with fitbits, will try something else

I’ve been using one fitbit device or another for the past 3-4 years. They seemed to improve things several times, but lately I feel the accuracy and therefore usefulness of the device is moving backwards. Specifically: (1) the latest version that I have - inspire HR- is very poor at tracking heart rate. I use a chest heart monitor while on my elliptical and the fitbit consistently under-counts my heart rate by more than 20 bps. This is noticeably worse than the model I used previously. (2) the device cannot count steps when I walk on my treadmill (walking desk) and I’m typically walking 2-3 mph. With the previous fitbit device I actually purchased an additional $40 clip so I could get my steps counted on the treadmill. Over time the device seemed to improve so that when I lost the clip at some point (and those clip devices are sooooo loseable / I had 3 fall off before I finally gave up buying them) - the fitbit seemed to have learned to track my treadmill steps ... yet when I switched to the latest device all that learning went away and I get NADA for steps on the walking treadmill. (3) the latest device is waterproof - but its v glitchy. I noticed several times after having been in water that when I clicked the button to see the time ... I had to click several times before the display would fully light up. It would show a partial display, flicker etc ... at one point the display failed to turn on at all and I thought it was dead - but when I checked the app it was still tracking ... so I kept wearing it and finally perhaps it dried out enough that the display started working again. So I r stopped putting it in water (4) and finally very annoyingly - the feature where you flip your wrist up and the display comes on? Ya that stopped working after a month or so ... I always need to press the button now to see the display - which truly makes the thing almost useless as a wristwatch ... by the time I free up my second hand to awkwardly move the fitbit around to hit the button - it’s usually easier to pull out my phone. So ya ... pretty much done with these devices ... ready to try another manufacturer with more accuracy and quality.

This newest update caused my sleep tracker not to work right.

The newest update for my Fitbit Versa has caused some kind of problem for the Sleep Tracker. It’s not showing the graphic chart. And doesn’t show that I slept in the Day part of the tracker either. In the year or so that I have had my Fitbit Versa, I have NEVER had problems with the Sleep Tracker. Only since this newest update has thus happened. I shutdown the Versa and turned it back on, so I’ll see if this helped tomorrow sleep tracker, but either way thus needs to be fixed

    Pointless trash

Got a brand new FitBit and can’t even set it up because the app is pure garbage and freezes. Won’t even allow me past the initial setup page. I get the first 2 letters of my name in and the app crashes. About to return it and stick with my Apple Watch because really what is the point?
