Crashes Windows 10
I’m guessing it’s a consequence of a recent update, but EpocCam now crashes — blue screens— my Windows 10 laptop when used. I was using it with Zoom and my whole system crashed. Thought it might be Zoom. Reinstalled windows driver and iOS driver. Still crashes the laptop. Tried it with MS Teams and with Skype. Crashes my system with those, too, so I know it’s not a Zoom issue. The crashes were profound: serious system hiccups, blue screens, unresponsive performance, which were resolved by several hard and soft restarts. Uninstalled the app from my laptop and phone. Contacted support by email. App support was unresponsive.

This use to be great and when I saw elgato’s name on it now, I was ecstatic! I thought with elgato, I would see major improvement but it seems like it downgraded. With the site I use this for, it made the camera super delayed and I cannot use my phone as a webcam unless I have this plugged in with a USB. For some reason over WiFi, it gives my laptop the blue screen of death. It steady crashes and restarts. And sometimes over wifi it has trouble connection. I hope it makes major updates with the app and perhaps the drivers we download onto our computers.

Last update broke the app
I used to be able to record video of “full body” without the need to “crunch” the camera video window on my livestreaming PC program. Was aspect ratio changed? Please give the option to use it as it was before! Turning the phone sideways gets it right for a second and then it “self-corrects” to the undesired aspect ratio. Also, phone goes to sleep while streaming, and sound dies 10 min into the stream/recording.
