    Latest update is very glitchy

    6/22/19 - It’s really hard to understand why I paid for Premium after some of these updates. The latest version may be the most problematic yet: - Crashes and/or won’t sync when adding a new food or recipe (consistent problem) - When adding a food to your day, you have to change your serving size blind because it auto scrolls to the bottom of the page and won’t stay on those fields (new problem) Other features that are lacking: - A way to copy a custom recipe or food, especially for Premium users. Many are paying because they count macros pretty tight, which means slight tweaks/variations to recipes and foods are common. But to add them to MFP requires you to start from scratch. - Verified food database. Even entries with a green check mark are random and not reliable. Build a specific USDA food database. Have a better update process for chain restaurants. - Bad barcode tracking. There is no way (or if there is, it’s not clear in the app) to correct a barcode entry. I have had barcodes pull up very random and incorrect foods and there’s no way to flag it. I have to go back through the usual “add a food” process but then the barcode never gets corrected.

    Not keeping up

    I started using MFP in 2013. Since then, it’s become more and more glitchy, less likely to work the way it’s supposed to, and more likely to just fill your feed with ads. I’ve tried everything to get my Apple health workouts to sync. My weight updates never sync. All my settings have been reset and set again. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app. If anything, this latest update is slightly more responsive in real time, but still lacking in the functionality that used to make it my #1 social and accountability app, even over Facebook or instagram. I’ve tried upgrading to premium, which seems to help restore some of the “basic” functions— but only some of the time. I’ve unsubscribed from premium, since the basic-level functions aren’t even operating properly, even when premium is paid for. I keep coming back to this app as a reference and for the hopes that it’ll one day be as good as it used to be.

    User beware... calorie count is way off every day

    This was a great app, but now there is a bug in it that makes it useless. The calorie count is HIGHER each day by 5-10%. If protein and carbs have 4 calories each, and fat have 9, When I do the math based on the macros for each day, the number I get is usually about 75-200 calories lower than what this app is reporting. Yesterday, I had 226 carbs, 161 protein, and 40 fat, which comes to 1908 calories. But the app says I ate 2079 calories, a difference of 171 calories. That’s a lot! What good is a macro and calorie counting app if the numbers they report are wrong? Hopefully they’ll fix this soon...
