    Very well written App

    I had written a long treatise concerning this app, and then iTunes timed me out before I could post it! So in re-writing, I just want to say that many of the prior posts are wrong about limitations. For example: you can indeed see DAILY as well as WEEKLY summaries of all nutrients (carbs, fats, etc). You can indeed ENTER in custom foods all nutrients (you do need to set a preference). Finally, tracking weight in 1/10th pound increments is just not necessary. You are just fooling yourself if you consider a .2lb weight loss significant... it isn't. Whole number weight tracking is more then appropriate... This app is the best out there for tracking key nutritional information AND to help keep you "on-task" to meet your dietary goals. Just download it and explore it for yourself! You won't be sorry!! Suggestions: 1. Sync, and the ability to export/import custom food lists - that way users can share lists 2. More organic brands in the base database 3. Put the % Carbs/ %Protein / %Fat in the MEAL HEADERS (ie Breakfast: 416 cal, 42% carb, 28% pro, 33% fat). This information is highly useful (see more info concerning the Zone diet aka 40:30:30 eating method). THIS REQUESTED FEATURE is the most essential in my opinion. 4. In a manner similar to what is already done for DAY and WEEK (ie Nutrient Summary), make a MEAL BASED summary as well (ie list all of the nutrients as listed currently under the "Nutrients" tab (accessed via the "My Day" button) available for any given meal. As a physician who has been integrating advanced dietary recommendations into my practice, I intend to use this app extensively and recommend it to my patients. With the integration of the 40:30:30 information (suggestion #3), this app is ideal. 4 stars which will be changed to 5 stars once the 40:30:30 information is integrated!!!! Great job with this app....

    The study is true!

    I think it’s vol 25 of Obesity that had a study that said even sloppy calorie counting helps to lose weight, which is why I started doing this app (that, and my dad is down 16 pounds and my brother down about 25 with this app). This app makes you really look at your food choices, and even though I thought I had an idea of what and how much I was eating, I was soooooo wrong! I’m down about 9 pounds after a little more than 3 weeks, and my 30 pound weight loss goal seems pretty easy now. It may take a few weeks for your body to adjust, especially if you’ve cut your caloric intake by 65% like I did. I’m still doing the free app, but with the success I’m seeing, I’ll probably buy the premium as a thank you to Lose It!

    Great App

    This app is so helpful in getting me to achieve my goal weight. I am finally able to note why I’ve had such a difficult time losing 20lbs. Documenting all food intake and the calories of each item has been eye-opening. I highly recommend if you are ready to commit to honestly counting all calories and remaining with the recommended daily calorie count. The pounds will eventually shed especially with a low to moderate exercise regimen.
