    Too Weirdly Simple and Complicated

Here’s the gist: GTS, Wonder Trade, Game Transfer, and PokéBank Transfer is PokéHOME. The game transfer is really smooth! The fact that you can only transfer Pokémon on the Switch makes it annoying that that’s basically the whole functionality. PokéBank Transfer is great too, and I thought it was Switch exclusive, but you can also do it on your phone, so it’s not special. Wonder Trade is weird. It takes a really long time to trade, and I don’t get notifications if anything was traded, and notifications are on. Are they for news? Because that’s just dumb. GTS is dumb too, because you can’t trade Mythicals, so what’s the point of the option; and you can’t request Pokémon You Have or Pokémon From Another Region. In Wonder Trade and GTS, Pokémon can’t evolve, making some trade evolutions even more difficult. My solution is trading on Switch and Mobile. You can trade Mythicals, just like Generation 7. Pokémon can EVOLVE in HOME. GTS Advanced Search comes back. Also, make trading and converting BP on Mobile as well. Then, both versions are nearly the same, and it’s a matter of preference and convenience. Also, I feel that every Premium Feature is just nice things, like Judge Function. You don’t need it. I don’t think you should lock a transfer method behind a paywall when every other transfer method isn’t(so far. No GO transferability yet.) So Bank behind a paywall is dumb too. Allow Bank to be in Basic Plan, you just can’t transfer as much at once or something to balance it with Premium if need be. And if GO is gonna be behind a paywall too, just don’t. That’s still stupid, no matter what game. I also think you should be able to transfer between Bank and HOME, not Bank to HOME. If you transfer Bank to HOME, you can’t go back, which is dumb too. Also, if you can’t trade ANY Mythicals, allow us to trade Meltan. They are being asked for literally EVERYWHERE. Thanks for reading this long review! Don’t be fooled though, it’s still a great service even with these problems.

Kind of pointless as of now

Why would you need a transfer service for Pokémon that are already found in Galar? Don’t get me wrong, the app is very user friendly and brought back some much- needed features that weren’t included in the actual game this time around(GTS). But it has little use, at least until they expand the Galar-dex with more Pokémon not already found in-game, or until another Pokémon game for the switch comes out. For now, it does it’s job- if you want to transfer some of your Pokémon from LGPE to SW&SH it works fine and it’s free. If you want to send a few mon’ from Pokébank that you have from the old Pokémon games on the 3ds, that works too... but it’s gonna cost you. *WARNING*: Just know that as of now, you can only bring over the ones that are already in the Galar- dex(with some exception, like the kanto and alolan starters) also, if you bring them to home and they cannot be moved to SW&SH, they will be stuck there for the foreseeable future. *please be aware* ... anyways, decent enough -looking app, glad this new infrastructure is being rolled out early so they can get rid of any bugs sooner rather than later, just doesn't have much use as of now.

    Good start, but needs something.

Overall, it is what it needs to be, a place to store your Pokémon, make friends, and trade. Trading could use some work on the GTS. A search option for “shiny” would be nice along with a search option to see what people are trading for the Pokémon I am offering. It is annoying to look through one Pokémon I desperately want only to see Pokémon I do not have or can’t offer. On top of that, it is annoying to see people asking for Pokémon that Cannot be traded due to them being event Pokémon (which should be avail to trade IMO), or people asking for things that cannot be obtained without hacking (like someone asking for a Level 1-10 Charizard). And please fix the Magearna Event. I was pumped to see the cool colored version and for some reason I can’t get it when my dex is complete. This app has a lot of potential and can be great. For what it is, it isn’t but but could be better.
