Crashbox Would Be an Appropriate Name
This app is constantly crashing and freezing up on the latest iOS system and most recent CrashBox “update”. App has very good tools for organizing your favorites, but It’s just frustrating that the app always has some kind of technical glitches that seem to get worse rather than better. It’s so buggy now, that even with my paid Premium membership, it won’t play in the background and I can’t even listen to a podcast without it crashing or freezing. Basically, I can’t even use this app due to bugs and flaws in the design. I don’t think these developers have the ability or enough concern for its customers to bother fixing these issues or they would only occur occasionally rather than routinely. I have used several podcast apps and never had such frequent crashing, freezing and slowness as I get with Castbox. It’s some kind of problem every time over and over and over. Save your money and time and look elsewhere if you want a decent, reliable podcast app.

Best player and getting better
Castbox kinda sucked at the very beginning. Now it is so good I can’t imagine using another player. It is so customizable and searchable. The search function actually looks for words in the audio of episodes, not just titles or show notes. You can filter and customize the shows you subscribe to and your downloads in so many different ways that I anyone should be able to set this app up to work exactly the way they wanted.

Surprise! Your subscription means less to us now.
Suddenly all of my podcasts are appearing as ads. What? I thought I was a Premium subscriber renewing annually — turns out I am, but that means something entirely different than it used to mean. << Surprise! You, loyal customer, just paid for limited subscriptions and constant [ugly] ads! You should have spent $40, duh! >>
